Architecture is somewhat relates with the combination of multi scale problematics.
Similar to fractal logic, in a large scale design problematic, smaller scale problems are can be found. These smaller scales problems are of which becomes large scale problems of another smaller ones.
This requires a total way of thinking that does solve a particular problem as well as having some words for the whole part, total problematic.
Developing a theory is not always a must, as the whole thinking system is dynamic on this fractal like basis. Experiments have been made and these experiments represents some situations, which may not develop a theory, however can be count as a saying in its own particular situation. Information can be used as an external input which is combined with knowledge and individual thinking and feelings. This indiviuality (one person or a group of people – but just the same mind) brings new ways of thinking in solving problems each time.
We will not be speaking about a hypothesis, experiment, theory line scientific thinking, however a bunch of information and knowledge from outside as well as inside and combine them according to same individual mind. This may lead to a theory, or not, but it creates a solution to one scale problematic, which can serve to other scales in fractal like system.
